Kendrick Lamar performs in Hood By Air at the VEVO Digital Content NewFronts at Roseland Ballroom on May 2, 2013 in New York City. Lamar performed a surprise set of his hits including “Backstreet Freestyle”, “Poetic Justice, and “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” for a small audience in Brooklyn last night. The Hood By Air t-shirt is an exclusive to Soho boutique VFILES and the Hood By Air leather pant is from the FW13 runway collection, select pieces of which will be available for sale at Colette.
The NY label Hood By Air will be making a debut on the west coast this month on May 18th with the opening of a month long pop up shop on Melrose in Los Angeles sponsored by Scion’s A/V initiative that supports young talents across the music and art industries. The Scion A/V Hood By Air pop up exhibition, entitled “MORPH,” will serve as the debut of a capsule luggage concept collection and feature three silicone art objects inspired by hiking luggage, tattooed skin and jewelry piercings as the focal point for the exhibit. On May 18th the Scion A/V Installation space will be transformed into a space reminiscent of a high school locker-room wherein the limited edition products will be sold for the duration of four weeks. Scion A/V has partnered with Hood By Air to produce an entire inventory of limited edition Hood By Air items that will sell within the space, including but not limited to the coveted Hood By Air Classics t-shirt collection in never before seen color-ways, backpacks, posters, water bottles, Emory boards, small accessories and more.
